Delivering rich experiences to your learners

Mercury supports a great number of interactive and customisable elements that come together to create a rich learning environment for learners. Video, audio, animations, drag and drops, click and reveals, images, quizzes and assessments are all on offer.

Supported formats

A number of media formats are supported by Mercury to help make your eLearning engaging and interesting to the learner. The following formats can be used in any combination and in any order:

• Video - flv, swf

• Audio - mp3, adpcm, nellymoser

• Images - jpeg, png, gif

• Animations - swf

These media formats are in addition to the following built-in components:

• Activities - drag and drops, click and reveals, tab tables, interactive graphics

• Assessments - true/false questions, multi-choice quizzes and marked assessments.

Built-in SCORM support

Mercury features built-in SCORM support. This allows your LMS to track your users' progress as well as keep track of who has completed the course and who hasn't, and for those who have, their final score. Mercury dynamically records all of these things automatically, letting you focus your attention completely on the content.

Intelligent tracking

Whenever Mercury detects that it's running inside an LMS, it will automatically make use of that LMS to record the user's progress. However, not everyone houses their eLearning in an LMS, and in this case Mercury will instead default to using Flash®'s built-in Shared Objects, which will at least allow your users to resume their learning from where they previously left off.
